This agreement covers Ranger 朗杰’s test and regular-use scenarios. Ranger is your context training engine with audio/video playback and language-learning capabilities; it does not provide movies or copyrighted media.

1. Parties and Acceptance

This agreement is made between the operator of Ranger 朗杰 and the person using Ranger. Operator: QUNHUI ZHANG; contact: qha@qq.com; contact address: Hongshan District, Wuhan, Hubei, China. By installing, opening, using Ranger, or accepting this agreement, the user agrees to this agreement and the Ranger Privacy Policy. A user who does not agree must stop using and uninstall the App.

2. Services

Ranger may provide import and playback of authorized media, sentence-level subtitles, intensive listening, repetition, dictation, shadowing, recording playback, local scoring, favorites, notes, context cards, review queues, learning statistics, user-configured WebDAV/AList/QDAV read-only WebDAV, Quark Drive, 115 Drive, TMDB metadata matching, and iCloud learning sync. Exact features, platforms, and availability are shown in the current App.

3. Test Version and Limitations

Test versions may contain crashes, migration issues, subtitle-recognition issues, remote-playback issues, network failures, or sync issues. Users should back up important media, subtitles, notes, and learning data. Ranger does not promise that every format, device, subtitle, recognition result, score, third-party server, WebDAV/AList, Quark, 115, TMDB, or iCloud service will remain accurate or available, and does not guarantee learning results or exam scores.

4. Media, Subtitles, and User Content

4.1 Lawful sources

Users may process only content they own or are legally authorized to use. Users must not bypass access controls, break encryption, infringe copyright, distribute pirated resources, or help others infringe rights through Ranger.

4.2 Ranger does not provide movie resources

Ranger does not include movies, courses, news, or other copyrighted media, and does not provide a service for searching, sharing, or trading such resources. Files accessed through remote services are managed by the relevant service and user; the user must verify their source and authorization.

4.3 User responsibility

Users are solely responsible for content they import, store, edit, generate, share, or access through remote services. Complaints, penalties, losses, or disputes caused by user content, accounts, cookies, remote servers, or violations of third-party terms are the user’s responsibility.

5. Third-Party Services and Credentials

5.1 WebDAV, AList, QDAV, Quark, and 115

Users may configure third-party remote sources. Ranger sends login, directory, download, subtitle, or playback requests according to user actions. WebDAV/QDAV is limited to read-only browsing, reading, downloading, and playback; it does not mean Ranger can or will modify or delete remote files. Experimental direct Quark and 115 entry points may stop working because of third-party protocol, permission, or terms changes. Users must use lawfully obtained credentials and must not provide another person’s cookies, passwords, or tokens.

5.2 TMDB

Ranger may optionally use TMDB for show search, posters, and episode metadata. Ranger is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Users may opt out or use their own TMDB API key.

5.3 Apple services

iCloud and system permissions are provided or processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

6. Prohibited Conduct

  1. Reverse engineer, crack, tamper with, rent, sell, sublicense, or copy Ranger;
  2. Distribute unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, malicious, violent, or prohibited content;
  3. Enter another person’s passwords, cookies, tokens, identity documents, or sensitive information;
  4. Bypass access, rate, payment, or technical protections of a third-party service;
  5. Automate large volumes of requests that affect a third party’s stability;
  6. Claim without authorization that Ranger is partnered with, certified by, or guaranteed by Apple, TMDB, Quark, 115, AList, or another third party;
  7. Remove, hide, or alter Ranger copyright, trademark, license, or security notices.

7. Intellectual Property

Ranger’s software, interface, trademarks, icons, documentation, original copy, and related technology belong to the operator or relevant rights holders. Users retain rights in content they import or create. The permission granted to Ranger is limited to providing import, playback, subtitle processing, learning records, and user-selected third-party requests on the device; it does not transfer ownership of the user’s media.

8. Privacy and Data

Ranger’s handling of media, subtitles, recordings, learning records, iCloud data, remote credentials, and TMDB requests is governed by the Ranger Privacy Policy. Users should read it and relevant third-party policies before using related features.

9. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

The operator may update, suspend, or terminate services because of product planning, legal requirements, security needs, or third-party service changes. Users may stop using Ranger, delete local data, and uninstall the App. If a user violates this agreement or applicable law, the operator may restrict features or stop providing services to the extent permitted by law.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ranger is provided “as is” and “as available.” The operator is not responsible beyond legally permitted limits for indirect loss, data loss, learning interruption, or unavailable content caused by device failure, system updates, network failure, third-party services, account permissions, content rights, user actions, force majeure, or unauthorized account use. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law or affects statutory consumer rights.

11. Children

Minors should use Ranger with a parent or guardian’s consent and guidance. Guardians should help minors understand media rights, remote accounts, and privacy permissions.

12. Updates and Contact

The operator may update this agreement when services, third-party services, or legal requirements change. Updated versions will be posted on the website or an appropriate in-app location with a new effective date and version number. Contact: qha@qq.com.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s location. Where applicable consumer law provides stronger protection, that law controls. Disputes should first be discussed through the contact address; if unresolved, they will be handled by the competent body under applicable law.
